Welcome to Healthy Comfort Kitchen! I’m so glad you’re here. While I’m busy making comfort food a little healthier, I also want to make sure your data stays safe. This policy explains what happens “behind the scenes” when you visit the site.

1. What We Collect (and Why)

When you hang out on the site, we pick up a few digital crumbs. This isn’t because we’re nosy—it’s just how the internet works to keep things running smoothly.

  • The Technical Stuff: Things like your IP address, browser type, and which recipes you clicked on. This helps the site load properly and tells me is more popular on my site.
  • Your Hello: If you reach out through a contact form, I’ll have your name and email so I can actually write back to you!

2. Who We Share Data With

I don’t sell your information to strangers. Period. I only share data with the “kitchen assistants” (service providers) that help this blog function:

  • Hosting: My site lives on servers in Massachusetts, USA via Hostinger.
  • Analytics: I love seeing which recipes you enjoy! We use Google Analytics to see how people use the site. You can read how Google handles that here or opt-out entirely using this tool.
  • Legal: Only if the law absolutely requires it (like a subpoena) would we share data.

3. Social Media & Digital Assistants

We love sharing our recipes where you hang out! To make that happen, we use a few third-party tools:

  • Pinterest: To help you save your favorite recipes and to help us see which “Healthy Comfort” dishes are trending, we use Pinterest tools. These may use cookies or tags to track how you interact with our content. You can always check or change your settings through your Pinterest Privacy stays.
  • YouTube: We occasionally embed video tutorials to show you exactly how a dish comes together. When you watch these, YouTube (a Google company) may collect information about your viewing activity according to their Privacy Policy.

4. A Look Into the Future

Right now, Healthy Comfort Kitchen is a passion project. As we grow, I plan to add:

  • Affiliate Links: If I recommend a kitchen tool I love, I might earn a tiny commission (at no cost to you).
  • Ads & Shop: We may eventually host ads or sell products. When these changes happen, I’ll update this page and let you know!

5. Your Rights & Cookies

  • Cookies: These are tiny files that help the site remember you. You can turn them off in your browser settings, but the site might not be as “tasty” (some features might not work perfectly).
  • Your Control: Whether you are in Europe (GDPR) or California (CCPA), you have the right to ask what data I have about you or ask me to delete it. Just send me an email!
