Dilly Chicken Salad: A Healthy Comfort Recipe
Chicken salad is one of my favorite comfort foods, but traditional recipes can be heavy on unhealthy fats and calories. I’ve found that a simple ingredient swap, using Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise or Miracle Whip, significantly improves the nutritional profile by boosting protein and reducing calories. This adjustment allows us to enjoy a healthier version of this classic. I plan to share several flavor variations soon, but let’s start with my favorite: Dilly Chicken Salad.
This recipe is loaded with all the yumminess: pickles, dill, and bacon, and is quick to prepare. It’s an ideal choice for a light summertime meal when you want to avoid turning on the oven. Serve it on a crisp lettuce leaf for a low-carb lunch or on my Greek Yogurt Slider Buns for a fun, satisfying snack.
